The syllabus is delivered through 'The Bastion Six'—a rotation of six distinct courses organized into three specialist streams:

The Executive Series

Format: Weekly 75-minute sessions (1hr 15m).

​Rotation: Courses run in 5-week blocks.

​Availability: Autumn & Spring Terms Only.

(We pause in the Summer Term to allow students to focus on athletics and end-of-year examinations).

THE EXECUTIVE SERIES

​Focus: Leadership, Enterprise & Resilience.

​Young Entrepreneurs

​It is not enough to have an idea; you must know how to execute it.

Associates build a business from the ground up. Covering luxury branding, financial literacy, and product design, this module culminates in a 'Dragon’s Den' style pitch deck presentation.

​Key Skills: Financial Literacy, Public Speaking, Strategic Planning.

​Crisis Command

​Leadership is easy when things are going well. We teach it when things go wrong.

A high-stakes simulation module where students must manage complex scenarios—from corporate PR disasters to emergency response coordination. They learn to make calm, calculated decisions under pressure.

​Key Skills: Resilience, Decision Making, Team Coordination.

THE STRATEGY SERIES

Focus: Logic, Law & Rhetoric.

​Junior Forensics

​The art of deduction.

Combining crime scene analysis with cryptography, this module teaches students to see the patterns others miss. From breaking Caesar Ciphers to analyzing fingerprint evidence, Associates learn the rigorous logic required to solve the case.

​Key Skills: Deductive Reasoning, Attention to Detail, Pattern Recognition.

​The Debating Chamber

​Rhetoric is the language of leadership.

Moving beyond shouting matches, we teach the structure of high-level debate. Students master the art of rebuttal, the psychology of persuasion, and the confidence to hold the room.

​Key Skills: Oracy, Critical Thinking, Confidence.

THE CREATIVE SERIES

Focus: Design, Innovation & Systems Thinking.

​World Builders

​The ultimate exercise in systems thinking.

Students do not just write stories; they design civilizations. They must construct the laws, economies, maps, and cultures required to sustain a functioning society. A masterclass in how the world works.

​Key Skills: Systems Thinking, Civic Design, Imagination.

​Story Makers

​Narrative engineering for the modern world.

Writing is about influence. Combining visual storyboarding with narrative structure, we teach the engineering behind compelling stories—whether for a novel, a screen, or a brand.

​Key Skills: Narrative Structure, Empathy, Creative Writing.
