"Every great movie, game, and book starts with a script."
Story Makers is a dynamic 5-week creative module designed to unlock the imagination in whatever form it takes. We move beyond the traditional "essay" to explore the universal mechanics of storytelling—whether that be through prose, graphic novels, or comic strips.
This course is a fast-paced workshop where students learn that a story is about communication, not just handwriting. We teach them to structure a plot, create memorable characters, and pace a narrative, giving them the freedom to choose their medium: words, pictures, or a blend of both.
The Syllabus:
The Narrative Arc: Mastering the "skeleton" of a story—the hook, the conflict, and the resolution—applicable to both novels and comics.
Character Design: Creating protagonists and antagonists with clear motivations and visual distinctiveness.
Visual vs. Verbal: Learning when to use descriptive language ("Show, Don't Tell") and when to let an image speak for itself.
Format:
Duration: 5 Weeks (1hr 15m per session).
Class Size: Strict 1:8 ratio for intensive feedback.
Suitability: Perfect for imaginative students, reluctant writers, and fans of Manga or Graphic Novels.
